MCDERMOTT, JOHN [2]

Assistant county surveyor for Co. Kilkenny from 1900(1) or earlier until 1911 or later.According to his 1911 census return, John McDermott was born in Co. Kilkenny in 1866 or 1867.  At the time of the census he was living in Gowran, Co. Kilkenny, with his wife, Kate, and their four children.  He was responsible for a drainage scheme for fourteen houses in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, in 1908.(2)
