Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Surveyor for Pembroke Township, 1896-1922 or later. John Middleton received the BAI degree from Trinity College, Dublin, in 1885.(1) Following the retirement of ARTHUR IRWIN MAHON  ARTHUR IRWIN MAHON in 1896, he acted as surveyor to the Pembroke Township Commissioners - subsequently Pembroke Urban District Council - until he was given a permanent appointment in 1898.(2) He was still in the post in 1922 but had resigned by 1925. He was succeeded by his Assistant Surveyor, RICHARD NATHANIEL MONTGOMERY RICHARD NATHANIEL MONTGOMERY . His pupils and assistants included THOMAS JOSEPH DELAHUNTY.  THOMAS JOSEPH DELAHUNTY.
