Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Carpenter, of Dublin. Joshua Manders was a representative of the Guild of Carpenters on the Common Council of Dublin from 1790 to 1805(1) and is recorded as being paid for carpentry work for Dublin Corporation in 1794.(2)   Writing in 1834, his fellow tradesmen recalled him as being a 'most extensive' builder in 1800, whose business declined in 1814 and who died 'in middling circum[stance]s'.(3)
