All information in this entry not otherwise accounted for is from the obituaries of Lyons in IB 89, 6 Sep 1947, 652, and RIAI Year Book (1948), 35, and from lists of members in AAI Green Books and RIAI journals and yearbooks. Information regarding the death of his first wife and his remarriage kindly contributed by Yvonne (O'Halloran) Agnew, granddaughter of Gertrude, a daughter of the second marriage (July 2020).
(1) He first appears at this address in the 1917 directories.
(2) Information from Plan Profile: Henry J. Lyons & Partners (Aug 1985), 3; according to this account Henry J. Lyons established the practice in 1926 and changed the name of the business to Henry J. Lyons & Son after Samuel Lyons joined his father in the late 1930s. Neither of these assertions is borne out by the directories or by the notices of Lyons's works in the Irish Builder.
