Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Amateur. As Marquess of Kildare circa 1762 he made sketch plans of the new house he intended to erect between the colonnades at Carton.(1) He also had a considerable influence on the alterations and improvements to Castletown, Co. Kildare, undertaken by his sister-in-law, Lady Louisa Conolly, from 1759 onwards.(2)
