Belfast-born painter, for biography and bibliography of whom see Theo Snoddy, Dictionary of Irish Artists: 20th Century (1996), 252-257. In addition to his large output of portrait, genre and landscape paintings, Lavery painted a triptych for St Patrick's Catholic Church, Belfast, in 1919, which was set in a frame designed by Sir EDWIN LUTYENS. EDWIN LUTYENS.
