J. Kiernan, of Swords, is described as the architect of the Catholic church at Balheary, Co. Dublin, in 1870.(1) He was possibly a relation of Christopher Kiernan, who is listed as a carpenter in Swords in Thom's Directory for 1863 and the Post Office Dublin Directory for 1874.
