Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Scottish-born architect, practising in London, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 958. According to his obituary in the Journal of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Houston 'carried out a considerable amount of work in Ireland, including business premises for the Cork Porter Brewery in Cork, and private residences there and at Midleton and Fermoy and Queen's County'.(1)
