HILL, CHRISTOPHER
- Born: - Died: -
Architect and treasurer for the erection of the Catholic church at Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny, in 1800, as recorded on a plaque inside the church. The fact that Hill was also treasurer suggests that he was an amateur architect. He may possibly be identified as Christopher Hill, a merchant in Waterford, who lived at Prospect House, Slieverue; he was a Catholic and had several of his children baptised at Slieverue in the 1790s.(1)
