Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architectural sculptor, of Dublin. Charles Lloyd Harrison, who, according to the 1911 census was born in Dublin in 1857 or 1858  was the eldest of several sons of CHARLES WILLIAM HARRISON CHARLES WILLIAM HARRISON . He and at least one other brother had become partners in their father's architectural sculpture business by 1889.  He died suddenly on 14 June 1913 at the relatively early age of fifty-five and was buried at Mount Jerome Cemetery.(1) He was survived by his wife, Jessie, whom he had married circa 1884,(2)  two sons and a daughter. His elder son Charles John Harrison, carried on the family business.

The Irish Architectural Archive has photocopies and copy photographs of a collection of notes on the family history and family photographs assembled by C.W. Harrison's granddaughter, Violette Sparrow, c. 1976 (Acc 2002/147).
