Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

English architect and antiquarian, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 181. Henry, Viscount Lascelles, who inherited Portumna Castle from his great-uncle, the last Marquess of Clanricarde, in 1916, commissioned Bilson to prepare a scheme for the re-edification of the old house within the old walls.(1) The scheme remained unexecuted.
