Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Thomas Hanratty was awarded one of two first-class premiums at the Dublin Society's School of Drawing in Architecture on 30 April 1789. Other Hanrattys who attended the school were Simon Hanratty, admitted 1 January 1786 and Stephen Hanratty, admitted 1 May 1794.(1) A Thomas Hanratty, carpenter, of the Coombe, Dublin, was named as an executor in the will of Richard Brady, of Blackhall Row, Dublin, signed on 8 March 1800. A James Hanratty, carpenter, was a witness to the same will and to the memorial registered on 9 January 1805.(2)
