Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

English architect, for biography of whom see Howard Colvin, A Biographical dictionary of British architects 1600-1840 (4th edn., 2008), 95-6. In Ireland Bardwell designed Glenstal Castle, Co. Limerick, for Matthew Barrington, circa 1836(1) and the Prior's Chapel in St Mary's Cathedral, Limerick. He is possibly the same person as the 'Bardell' or 'Burdell' who entered the competition for designing Kingsbridge Station, Dublin, in 1845.(2)
