Architect, of Birmingham and later also of Leamington, for whom see Howard Colvin, A Biographical dictionary of British architects 1600-1840 (3rd edn., 1995), 110. Joseph Bateman produced proposals for Dowdstown, Co. Meath, for the Hon. General Taylor in 1831.(1)
