Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of Ennis, Co. Clare, active in the 1850s and 1860s. Maurice Fitzgerald appears in Slater's Directory of Ireland (1856), with an address in Market Street, and in Henry & Coughlin's Munster Directory (1867). He was the architect of the Convent of Mercy, Arthur Row, Ennis (1861).(1)

The Clare Journal for 18 July 1860 records the marriage of Fitzgerald's eldest daughter Ellen to John Torpey.
