Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Mason & bricklayer of Kilkenny, who emigrated to New York with his wife in 1768. Patrick Blanchville placed an advertisement in the New York Journal or the General Advertiser of 2 June 1768 announcing that he had 'just arrived' with Captain Gifford from Bristol, to whom he owed £26 'current money of New-York' for his passage, and that he was willing to enter into contract 'with any person who will pay the said money'.(1)
