Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect and measurer, of Cork. Philip Dynan, active from 1798 or earlier.(1) His death on 8 April 1800 is recorded in the Hibernian Chronicle of Thursday, 10 April 1800, where he is described as an architect.


(1) MS. copy book of bills, estimates, bills of measurement, valuations &c. kept by William Deane, 1797-1809,  in IAA, Acc. 2009/91 (microfilm in NLI);  this source suggests that Dynan worked in partnership with Thomas Hill on measuring work.
