Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

George Doolittle was admitted to the Dublin Society's School of Drawing in Architecture on 22 March 1787.(1) A member of the Carpenters' Guild of the same name became a freeman of the city of Dublin by Grace Especial at Midsummer, 1792.(2)   A'George Doolittle, Architect', of Dublin, is mentioned in the Freeman's Journal of 25 April 1837 as having emigrated to America 'a few years ago'.
