Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of Dublin and Tasmania. Robert Doolin was a son of WALTER DOOLIN[1] WALTER DOOLIN[1] , a brother of WILLIAM DOOLIN  WILLIAM DOOLIN and WALTER DOOLIN[2]  WALTER DOOLIN[2] and an uncle of WALTER GLYNN DOOLIN WALTER GLYNN DOOLIN . He had emigrated to Tasmania by 1840, where he appears to have worked for C.D. Logan, the Town Surveyor of Hobart. He married Mary Ann Buscombe in Tasmania on 29 February 1840 and had a daughter, born by the spring of 1842, and a son, Robert James, born in 1848.(1)
