Measurer, of 45 James's Street, Dublin, listed as such in Wilson's Dublin Directoryfor the years 1784 to 1786. A measurer of the same name is listed at 206 Great Britain Street from 1794-1808. The Connells may have been measurers for several generations, for a 'J. Connell' measured work at the library and elsewhere at Trinity College, Dublin, between 1717 and 1823 and again in 1740.(1).
