Architect, of Cork, listed as such in Haly's Cork Directory for 1795.(1) On 20 February 1792 the Hibernian Chronicle reported the marriage the previous day of John Colman (sic), master builder of Cork, to Tomazin Spencer, daugher of the late Edmund Spencer, hatter. A letter which he wrote to the valuators of the parish of St Nicholas in Cork on 3 April 1805 indicates that he owned several houses in the parish.(2) An extract from the will of John Coleman, master builder, of Cork City, dated 4 March 1817, is in the Eneclann Index of Irish Wills 1484-1858 (CD).(3)
