Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, of Belfast. Alexander Anderson, who was a native of Belfast; served his articles with WILLIAM BATT WILLIAM BATT , and was the latter's chief assitant from circa 1876 until 1890, when he was appointed second assistant in the Belfast Harbour Board engineer's department. In 1876 he won the prize in the No. 7 Class of a competition held by the Belfast Architectural Association.(1)
