Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect, of Dublin and San Francisco. Bryan Clinch, a son of Hugh O'Brennan Clinch of Dolphin's Barn, Dublin, and grandson of Councillor James B. Clinch of Eccles Street, emigrated to San Francisco, probably circa 1900.(1) He had already become an American citizen and was returning to San Francisco when he sailed from Liverpool to Philadelphia in the spring of 1904.(2) He died in San Francisco in 1906. The notice of his death in the Irish Builder in June 1906 describes him as 'a young man of much professional ability'.
