Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architectural partnership of Chelmsford and London which designed a cement summer residence (Carrigoona) in Bray, Co. Wicklow, for William Fletcher Barrett, FRS, Professor of Physics at the Royal College of Science, in 1901.(1) Clare was probably George Edward Clare (1868- ?), who established an architectural practice in Chelmsford in 1899 and was the author of Ideal Homes in Rural Areas (see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 376).
