Jacobethan house, for Lord Cremorne, later cr. 1st Earl of Dartrey. According to Northern Standard, 23 Nov 1839, Lord Cremorne was 'expending £40,000 on the erection of a castle as a residence at Dawson Grove, Co. Monaghan'. Demolished; Tudor Revival balustrades removed to garden of Kilnacloy, Monaghan Town. Mulligan suggests that Tudor Gothic gate lodge may also be by WB.
