Nature: New cast-iron and timber bridge. Opened 1863. For Drogheda Corporation; 'one of the flimsiest structures of its kind'. Contractor: McCloud (who died immediately after completion of bridge). (Closed to traffice, 1872 and replaced by iron bridge in early 1890s.)
