Nature: Proposal by TC to add 2 storeys to tower. Design later adapted by Daniel De Lacherois.

Date: 1833
Nature: Adaptation of design by Thomas Cooley. Built at his own expense, including money left in legacy from uncle.

Name: HEVEY, TIMOTHY

Date: 1878-1881
Nature: Enlargement and improvement including addition of chancel and organ chamber and provision of 'nearly one hundred sittings'.. Cruciform shape retained with one wing enlarged; communion table moved to widened wing. Roof of wing supported by 2 rows of columns of polished Newry granite.  Greater number of old box pews replaced by new benches 'of modern design'. Pulpit and lectern retained but moved to where more visible.  Work superintended by John Henry Fullerton after Hevey's death in Dec 1878.Church reopened 3 Jul 1881. Cost: £1370.
