Nature: New church on site provided by 3rd Marquess of Sligo, replacing church of 1797 on different site.  Completed and consecrated 26 Sep 1872. For 3rd Marquess of Sligo, who provided site and £1200 towards cost of erection. Builder: Butler & Son, Dublin. Stone carving by William Ridge.
