Corner stone laid 1 Oct 1882 by Cardinal McCabe.  Consecrated by Dr Walsh, Archbishop of Dublin, 10 Oct 1886.  St Joseph altar, executed by George Smith, Great Brunswick St, 18 Dec 1886.
