Nature: Enlargement (transepts, chancel, organ chamber & vestry) and renovation. Contractor: Pemberton (£2528)  Work completed by Apr 1880. Transepts and chancel ready for roofing in, Mar 1879 (re-roofing of old part also found to be necessary). Actual cost: £3000. Robert B. Stoney, incumbent wished that the Queen Anne style 'will be kept up as far as possible in the added part, as it would not do to have two different styles in the same edifice'. Church reopened, 2 Oct 1879..  2nd and larger 36-light corona presented to hang in crossing, Mar 1880.
