Metcalf, ladies' tailors.  Contractor:James Beckett & Sons, Ringsend.  Largest plate-glass window in Ireland supplied by Brooks, Thomas & Co.  'It measures 14 ft. 3 ins. x 11 ft. 9 ins. It contains over 167 ft. sup., is about half-an-inch thick, and weighs nearly half a ton.  It is fixed with other large flat and bent panes of plate-glass at the new premises at the corner of Exchequer street and South Great George's street, Dublin, for Messrs. Metcalf.'
