Nature: 'The church is a neat building with a square tower, erected in 1819 by a loan of £1500 from the late Board of First Fruits' (Lewis) Date on plaque on church given as 1821.  Contractor: 'Mr Dolittle' (probably John Delittle or Doolittle, Dublin) who was paid a total of £1286.12s.1821-22 for building church and a further £22.15s. 'for inspecting the building of the new church'.
