Date: 1858-1861
Nature: New cruciform church with circular tower with conical roof.   Nave, full-length aisles, transept 'and three rows of open stalls'(?).  2 magnificent arches, one over chancel and one over transept, together with 4 smaller arches 'joining the massive pillars which are to support the roof'.  Limestone from Courtown Harbour, with granite dressings from Blessington, Co. Wicklow.   Builder: John Butler, Wellington Place, Dublin.  To cost about £6,000, of which £500 raised by voluntary subscription and the remainder contributed by Ecclesiastical Commissioners'. Opened 27 Mar 1861 and consecrated 6 Jun 1862.
