Nature: New stone bridge of 80 ft span leading from railway to Shop St. First contractor, Buxton, of Leeds went bankrupt after failing to construct coffer dams.. 2nd contractor, Brennan & Costello, Dublin, finished early 1868, but bridge still not open to traffic in May 1868.(Rebuilt 1984)
