Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Civil engineer, of Carlow. Peter Carbery, who was born in Co. Laois in 1872 or 1873, was town surveyor for Carlow from 1911(1) or earlier - probably in succession to JAMES BYRNE [4] JAMES BYRNE [4] , who was in the post in 1907 - until 1934 or later.(2)   At the time of the 1911 census he had been married to his wife, Anne Teresa, for twelve years and had three daughters and a son.
