Architect, of Marylebone, London, for whom see Howard Colvin, A Biographical dictionary of British architects 1600-1840 (3rd edn., 1995), 213. James Campling was probably one of the competitors in the Dublin Royal Exchange competition of 1768-69 as he exhibited an elevation of the exchange at the Free Society of Artists, London, in 1770.(1)
