Architect, of Ashton-under-Lyne, Manchester, for whom seeDirectory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 311. John Harold Burton was the winner of various architectural competitions for chapels and schools in the north west of England in the late 1880s.(1) In Ireland he designed a chapel, school and houses in Bangor, Co. Down, circa 1890.(2)
