Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

English painter and first president of the Royal Academy, for whom see Oxford DNB. For Ireland Reynolds designed the east window in Hillsborough Church of Ireland Church, Co. Down, in 1772, during the substantial alteration and enlargement of the church for Wills Hill, 1st Earl of Downshire.(1) The design was probably carried out by Francis Egington of Bimingham.(2)
