Sculptor, of J. Whitehead and Son, Birmingham, for whom see the online database Mapping the practice and profession of Sculpture in Britain and Ireland 1851-1951.(1) For Ireland Whitehead executed a marble portrait bust for the monument to Archibishop Robert Bent-Knox (d.1893) in Armagh Church of Ireland cathedral,(1) which was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1895.(2)
