Architect, of Castlebar, Co. Mayo, who in July, 1869, prepared designs and specifications for a new dispensary and separation ward at Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, at Ballinrobe workhouse for the Ballinrobe Board of Guardians.   The following year he requested a reference from the Board as he 'was about to apply for a public appointment'.  The Guardians responded with a glowing testimonial which certified that he had prepared 'very elaborate and satisfactory drawings and specifications' for the dispensary and ward. 'The Drawings were educated with great taste and professional skill, and in no instance was it found necessary to depart from the Specificationsin the execution of the works contracted for in conformity therewith.'(1)  By the end of 1870 he had become architect to Castlebar Board of Guardians.(2)
