Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Builder and marble works proprietor, of Millmount, Co. Kilkenny.   William Colles, second son by the second wife of WILLIAM COLLES [1] WILLIAM COLLES [1] ,was born in 1745.   He joined the family marble business and is said to have designed and built the family house at  Millmount.   He died in 1779, when the business was taken over by his third son, Richard Colles.
