Engineers and bridge builders, of Dalmarnock, Scotland, responsible for the design and erection of the Forth railway bridge near Edinburgh and other important British bridges.(1) In 1902 and again in 1908 Sir William Arrol & Co. submitted designs for a new iron bridge across the river Suir at Waterford, but neither was adopted, a ferro-concrete construction being favoured instead.(2)
