Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architectural partnership of Glasgow, formed by William Clarke (1809-1889) and George Bell (1814-1887), for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), I, 156, 386. In a volume of drawings by Clarke & Bell in the Scottish National Monuments Record, Edinburgh, there is a drawing for stalls for Baronscourt church, Co. Tyrone, which makes it likely that Clarke & Bell also designed the church itself, which was consecrated in 1858.
