Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Engineer, of Bolton St and Summerhill, active from 1858 or earlier until 1870 or later. Cornelius Carmody was one of the architects, surveyors and engineers who produced drawings, plans and maps to illustrate the Incumbered Estate rentals. His drawings were of Melbeach House, Albany Ave, Monkstown, Co. Dublin (1860)(1) and Kilkenny court house (1865).(2) He is probably the 'C. Carmody, Esq., CE' whose wife gave birth to a daughter at 48 Capel Street, Dublin, on 29 May 1863.(3)
