VIERPYL, WILLIAM
- Born: 1770 Died: -
Architect. William Vierpyl, a son of SIMON VIERPYL by his first wife, Frances (neé Dickson), was baptised in St Thomas's church, Dublin, in 1770.(1) He was working in the office of SAMUEL WYATT in London when he exhibited designs at the Royal Academy in 1792, 1793 and 1795. Nothing further is known of his career apart from his drawings for three buildings dating from between 1807 and 1816 which were at Donard House, Co. Wicklow, in 1970: as well as designs for Donard itself, there were plans for a house for the Rev. Mr Hamilton at 'Thomas Town' and for stables and offices for John Wills probably at Humphreystown, Co. Wicklow.
