Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Carpenter, builder and timber merchant, of Dublin.   The name of William Bolton of Kevin Street appears on a list of Dublin master builders compiled in March 1834.(1)   He may be the person of the same name who was a subscriber to William Stitt's The Practical Architect's Ready Assistant; or Builder's Complete Companion (Dublin, 1819). A William Bolton was contractor for rebuilding the tower, re-roofing and enlarging Clone Church of Ireland church, Co. Wexrod, in 1817-18 and also built new gate piers the following year.(2)
