Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Architect or surveyor who made a map of the grounds of Temple House, Co. Sligo, showing sites for proposed out-offices, on 15 January 1863.(1)   He is probably the James Caldwell was clerk of works for the building of Sligo town hall in 1865.(2)   A 'Mr Caldwell' of Sligo was unanimously elected to membership of the RIAI on 20 March 1852(3) and  'Mr Caldwell, junior' submitted plans without charge for a new town hall at Sligo in 1860.(4)
