English architect, for whom see Directory of British Architects 1834-1914 (RIBA 2001), 710. George Henry Stokes was the partner and son-in-law of JOSEPH PAXTON and collaborated with him on the reconstruction of Lismore Castle, Co. Waterford, in 1853-1857.(1)
