Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Builder, of Dublin(?), active in the 1780s and 1790s. Bryan Bolger measured stone and brickwork executed by Smith for Robert Watson Wade at Knockmaroon, Co. Dublin, in 1787, 1789 and 1790,(1) and for Henry Caddell at Newtown, Castleknock, Co. Dublin in 1790.(2) Perhaps the same person as the Edward Smith who was admitted a Freeman of the City of Dublin as a member of the Bricklayers' Guild by Grace Especial at Easter, 1790.(3)
