Dictionary of Irish Architects 1720 - 1940

Assistant county surveyor for Co. Monaghan from 1907 or earlier until 1927. Smith died in the County Infirmary, Monaghan, in the spring of 1927 from injuries received when he was thrown from his motor bicycle.(1) 'J. & J. Smith' of Keeranmore, Clones, Co. Monaghan, were architects of faifty-two labourers' cottages which were built for Clones Rural District Council in 1910,(2) while 'J.M.Smith', is described as architect to Clones No. 2 Rural District Council in 1911.(3)
